Healthy Eating

The Eatwell Guide is promoted by the NHS to give an overview of a balanced, healthy diet.

Sticking to a healthy diet is scientifically proven to improve mental health and cut the risk of developing serious medical conditions (including Type 2 Diabetes)

Physical Activity

The recommended amount of physical activity is 30 minutes a day or 150 minutes per week of moderate exercise. All types of exercise can help, however it's important to find an activity that you enjoy and are therefore likely to stick at regularly.

Prioritise Your Mental Health

Everyone is prone to low mental health and feelings of stress, depression and anxiety.

Many people take a battle-through mentality or don't create the time required to focus on their mental health - which can ultimately be detrimental to physical health as well as mental wellbeing.

Even just 30 minutes a day taken to prioritise your mental health can have a big impact on your wellness.

Stay Hydrated

Staying hydrated is important for our overall health as the body requires water in order to function normally.

Doctors recommend you should drink 6-8 glasses of water a day, however this advice is dependent on age and levels of exercise. If undertaking moderate or intense exercise then you should drink more water to account for the fluids lost.
